Butterfield Stage Motel

Yearly trip to renew my work permit. Butterfield Stage Motel, Deming, New Mexico. King bed, under $80.00 with tax. Older, but extremely well-kept quiet and comfortable.

The motel was built in 1959 and looks it, but our room was nicely done after a complete renovation and very clean. The room was huge with nice sitting area and well lit. The Wi-Fi works well. Our hostess was very helpful and gave us a lot of good information. Would definitely recommend this motel and would stay here again.

I travel a lot for work and usually prefer mom-and-pop hotels over the big corporate chains, and this place did not disappoint. The staff was very accommodating to my needs, the rooms were spacious, and everything was very clean. It was a comfortable, stress-free stay, and I’d gladly stay here again.

The room was impeccable—a spacious, clean, lovingly remodeled suite with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay! The attention to detail illustrates pride in ownership, and this is conducive to a top-notch customer experience that is rarely matched by the big name hospitality companies. The front desk attendant was delightful to chat with during the check-in process—a true people person!

Beautifully clean, VERY spacious, comfortable. Cass is a hostess with sass and a fun personality. She obviously takes pride in this property and it shows. I don't often leave reviews for hotels (as I pretty much live out of them), but this one will go on my recommendation list.

My husband stayed here in October and November on his travels to deal with an out-of-state family matter. Was so pleased with the room, price and friendly management that he wanted to stay here on the return too. He felt our minivan was secure enough in the parking area to not worry about it being broken into. A worry these days. It's evident that the property is in a gradual upgrade process but they very wisely put that investment into their spacious, clean rooms first. We plan to stay here in future during road trips between San Diego and TX.

Exellent spot. Large! rooms that have been updated. California king (?) bed, very comfortable. TV was too far away from bed, but can't do much since the room was so large. Only downside was the shower, it was new & large but took the water several minutes to get hot. But once it was, it was nice & hot with a good flow. Very friendly lady checked me in, I am guessing the owner. Nice independent hotel, def recommend. Beautiful neon sign out front, but needs work. And that stuff costs a lot of money. Overall 5/5.

Rolled in at 1a- felt bad we definitely woke up the owners but they were still helpful and warm. Our room was HUGE!! Very clean, updated interior, Comfortable bed. Would absolutely recommend to anyone passing through. Neighborhood is fine, a little industrial, few blocks from the main drag, not really walkable but safe.
